When the architects of Brachard de Tourdonnet were asked to redesign this 872ft2/81m2 apartment for a French family, the residents requested that redesign should enable them to be together but it should also be possible to isolate yourself at times.
The architects were also asked to try to replicate life in a caravan, where everything is functional and integrated. The apartment has been divided into nine boxes of 97ft2/9m2. Each corresponds to a function and can be opened or closed according to the residents wishes. In the centre, a mezzanine incorporates bath, kitchen and office podium.
