World Design Rankings

World Design Rankings (WDR) has announced the updated design rankings of countries based on the number of designers that have been granted with the A’ Design Award. United States ranked as number 1 among the 88 represented countries, followed by Italy, England, Japan, Brazil, China, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong and Turkey which took the top positions in 2016.

Five new countries are included in the 2016 rankings: Montenegro, Malta, Liechtenstein, Azerbaijan, Georgia. Top 10 changed slightly this year; China ascended in the ladder from 5th to 3rd position, which moved Hong Kong and Italy a step back. Furthermore, Taiwan joined from the 6th position by pushing down Great Britain, Japan, Brazil, Germany and Greece. Greece dropped from Top 10 and now holds the 13th position.

Real Boy Push Pins/Thumb Tacks by Duncan Shotton is Winner in Art Materials, Stationery Supplies and Gift Items Design Category, 2012 – 2013.

Cat’s Cradle Living-Room Chair by Stoel Burrowes is Winner in Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design Category, 2012 – 2013.
