Ashley Webber is the founder of Supertramped Co, a company that turns everyday vehicles into handcrafted campervans. While the company has created some beautiful homes on wheels, there’s one, in particular, that has been turning heads everywhere it goes: Rumi.

Rumi is a Ford Transit Trend that got its name from the 13th-century Persian poet. Ashley was contacted through Facebook about turning the Transit into a spectacular campervan that was light, earthy, and organic. The owner wanted a seamless flow from the entry to exit, along with a natural space that would capture nature’s beauty on the road. Ashley and a team of craftspeople got to work, and Rumi was born.
The Exterior

The custom exterior is a beautiful forest and mountain scene produced by Sam Garden. It sets the scene for the rustic, natural interior.
The Layout

One of the first things you notice when you step inside the spacious interior is the British Western Redwood cladding. The strong wood theme partnered with rustic brass, vintage tiles, and artwork meets the brief in more ways than one.
Dining Area

The dining nook is intimate for two diners at the Lagun adjustable dining and reading table. Once night falls, a fold-down double bed takes its place.
Solar Power

The van is not short of lighting, thanks to the inverter, solar power, and 12-volt fuse board. All this van’s power needs are well taken care of.
Seating Area

The rear of the van features ample seating, along with easy access to the great outdoors. This area also has bespoke upholstery by Seats & Solder.
Velux Skylight

SupertrampedCo installed a 1m x 1.5m Velux Skylight. This lets in plenty of light during the day and allows for stargazing at night.
The Kitchen

The kitchen makes meal preparation on the road a breeze. It comes kitted with The Hobbit Stove by Salamander Stoves, a Dometic 3-ring hob and CRX50 fridge/freezer, Mandarine Stone tiles, a Smev oven and grill, and a beautiful farm-style sink with brass fixtures.
Storage

Storage is plentiful with pull-out drawers for food, accessories, and more.
Fridge/Freezer

The small Dometic fridge/freezer is tucked away in a custom-built cabinet.
The Bathroom

The 900mm x 700mm shower tray is more than large enough for comfortable showering. It can also house a portable toilet when the shower is not in use.
Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is the final touch on the van, epitomizing what the owner wanted in their brief – earthy, light, and organic.
