Blogger Nikki Rappaport (Cupcakes for breakfast) grew up in the most colourful house with a pink and teal hallway and has always been drawn to colour herself, so her 450-square-foot apartment is decorated in a lovely girly style with a lot of pink nuances. After her junior year she landed an internship at House Beautiful where she was exposed to many different designers, fabrics, and styles, this helped her refine her style. Her favourite places to shop is Homegoods, T.J. Maxx and Craigslist.
A lot of windows provide light and makes the apartment feel much bigger than it is.
Left: Nikki tears out full pages of magazines with images she loves – and using double sided tape, put them up in rows. When she finds new interesting images, it’s easy to update the wall. Right: Some men name their cars, Nikki has named her KitchenAid Stand Mixer. It goes under the name “Ruby.”
Nikki loves her little dressing area. When she steps out of bed a soft flotaki rug bids her feet “Good morning.”
