Dilapidated Garage Was Turned Into a Stunning 21 M2 Micro-Home

In the medieval old town of Vilnius, Lithuania sits a lovely and functional micro home that used to be a blight on the landscape. Now, however, it’s almost a work of art.

Indrė Mylytė-Sinkevičienė and his team from IM Interior were given the task of trying to turn a small, dilapidated garage attached to brick pantries into a liveable, workable space with character. It would have to work with its industrial surroundings, but it would also have to be a place of comfort for the occupant to work, sleep, and live comfortably. In 21 square meters of space, was that achievable? IM Interiors made it happen.

Such a combination of colors ended up working beautifully with the brick pantries on one side, the block of flats adjacent, and the tree-covered hills to the rear. Even though the micro home’s exterior looks old, however, it’s merely an illusion.
