The Timeless Travel Trailers team, Airstream experts, passionately customizes trailers to meet unique client needs. Their latest feat involved transforming a 1975 Airstream Land Yacht, catering to a client with chemical and electrical sensitivities, with a certified consultant’s support.
The goal was to ensure the young woman owner could enjoy her house on wheels to the fullest without worrying about uncomfortable symptoms associated with her sensitivities. The resultant renovation was a beautiful, timeless Airstream with all-natural materials, hypoallergenic and organic elements, water filtration, and VCO-free materials. The entire Airstream has also been kitted out with EMF shielding to prevent electrical disturbances.
The calming, fresh, modern, and feminine interior of this 1975 Airstream Land Yacht has everything the young woman owner needs for comfortable living. The gorgeous pink L-shaped sofa boasts built-in storage with a calming wood foundation to tie in with the Airstream’s overall theme. This seating area also features organic foam and upholstery to ensure a non-toxic and allergen-free environment for the owner and her guests.
While the L-shaped sofa in the living space is perfect for relaxing, it’s also an ideal dining area. A lovely light wood space-saving table can be folded up or down, depending on whether the owner is relaxing or dining.
The stark white walls are a breath of fresh air for this 1970s Airstream Trailer. However, this is no ordinary paint. Timeless Travel Trailers used AFM Safe Coat Paint, known for its low volatile organic compounds (VOC). This paint can help the owner maintain excellent indoor air quality.
The L-shaped sofa is more than just a sofa and a dining area. It also converts into a large bed. This is convenient when the owner has guests over for the night.
Storage space has been maximized in the living area with a beautiful white and wood shelf over the sofa. There is also a built-in light to reduce shadowy spaces. The pink, white, and wood theme has been enhanced in this area with fresh white organic cotton curtains.
Marmoleum flooring is present throughout the entire Airstream Trailer. This flooring material is renowned for its sustainability and raw materials. It contains no plasticizers, mineral oil, or phthalates. It also features 43% recycled content. Most Marmoleum products are made with wood flour, jute, and linseed oil. It’s the perfect option for someone with sensitivities.
Neolith Stone Countertop
Stone countertops are already a popular option in many home kitchens, so a Neolith stone countertop certainly doesn’t look out of place in this Airstream Trailer. It’s renowned for its chemical resistance, beauty, and cleanliness. The white hue also pairs well with the light cabinetry.
The ash cabinetry in the kitchen and throughout the Airstream Trailer is all about showing off its best natural features. However, a nice Aqua Resin Stain really brings out its natural grain. This stain is free from harsh chemicals for the owner’s peace of mind.
Stainless-steel features are an attractive and modern touch in any home, and this Airstream Trailer is no exception. However, the stainless steel sink, faucet, and hardware were explicitly chosen for their hygienic properties. The kitchen is also home to a water filtration system so the owner can always enjoy refreshing, purified water.
The white and ash wood materials make this Airstream Trailer look much larger, more spacious, and cleaner than in its original 1970s decor. However, the owner can also reduce the flow from the living room to the bedroom by closing the sliding door. This makes the kitchen and living room a separate space.
White and Wood Theme
The bathroom sits adjacent to the bathroom in the rear of the Airstream Trailer. It boasts the same beautiful white and wood theme with pink towels to match the pink sofa in the living space. The toilet is tucked away in the corner of the bathroom for privacy.
Like the kitchen, the bathroom has stainless steel hardware and a tap for hygienic purposes. It also has the same wood cabinetry and a stone bench top to match the kitchen.
The shower is in its own dedicated shower room opposite the toilet. It’s the epitome of luxury, with an easy-clean stainless steel interior and a gorgeous teak duckboard.
The bedroom in this Airstream is a peaceful haven with the same beautiful natural materials found throughout the rest of the trailer. Two single beds boast organic cotton bedding and curtains, and the entire space is free from synthetic materials.
Storage is certainly not lacking in the bedroom area. Not only is there a bedside cabinet between the two single beds, but there are also built-in storage drawers forming the mattress bases and overhead cabinets. These feature the same light ash wood present throughout the main living space, bathroom, and kitchen.
