Timeless Travel Trailers is known for carrying out some beautiful motorhome transformations, but few are as memorable as Amazing Grace. Amazing Grace is a 2014, 28-foot Airstream Flying Cloud owned by John and Erin Kiltz from Georgetown, Texas.
In October 2018, the Kiltz couple came to Timeless Travel Trailers with a simple request: to customize their Airstream as they transitioned to a new chapter of their life. The couple had just lost their youngest daughter, Gracie, to an aggressive form of leukemia.
Gracie was born with Down Syndrome and had undergone many rounds of chemotherapy. Serious complications caused severe brain damage, and Gracie passed away. The Airstream, aptly named Amazing Grace, would be a way to honour her memory and help them move forward into a new stage of their lives.
Timeless Travel Trailers left no stone unturned in transforming this already beautiful Airstream into a work of art. It was fitted out with reupholstered lounge and dinette seating, luxury vinyl flooring, all new cabinetry, new appliances, and aluminum skin in place of removed cabinetry for a more open feel.
The Airstream also benefited from white shiplap, an updated kitchen and bathroom, custom bunk beds, and a king-size bed. The project was finished in 2019, and the final result is a beautiful, clean-lined Airstream that honors Gracie’s memory in the best possible way.
Inspired by their daughter, the Kiltz family has created two non-profits:
His Grace Foundation provides physical, emotional and financial support for the patients and families on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) of Texas Children’s Hospital.
BiG celebrates, engages and empowers adults with intellectual disabilities through meaningful work enterprises – where they sell handmade creations such as jewelry, stationery, cards, pottery, and baked good.
