As if French tiny home company Baluchon’s builds couldn’t get any more innovative, they have now released a new build on a six-meter trailer with red cedar cladding and white spruce paneling. Let’s get ready to tour Hytta, a charming tiny house built for customer Johanna.
Hytta is a quaint tiny home with much to offer homeowners looking for a full-time home or weekend getaway. After being immediately impressed by the charming cedar and spruce exterior with mixed wood/aluminum double-glazed windows and doors, you can be further amazed by the calming oak and spruce interior, with cotton, linen, and hemp insulation in the floors, walls, and ceiling.
Homeowners can enter through the gabled entrance, where they’ll be met by storage solutions in the form of a shoe cabinet, coat rack, and storage mezzanine. Adjacent lies a small office space suitable for teleworking.
Baluchon’s customer ordered the tiny house to become her main home. As Baluchon tiny homes are customizable, she enjoyed adding her own flair. Johanna opted for a pink roof and a bedroom with plenty of room. Baluchon more than delivered by using an innovative framing solution with two large windows. As a result, Johanna’s bedroom is naturally bright and has plenty of room for two drawers, two oak wall shelves, and a double bed.
Alongside an innovative bedroom design, homeowners can’t help but be impressed with the innovative and storage-laden corner staircase offering first-floor access and the convenient kitchen and bathroom with everything you need for everyday living.
Relaxing and hosting guests are also made easy, courtesy of the convertible sofa to accommodate overnight guests, a movable oak table, and a charming wood stove.
While Baluchon hasn’t listed a price for the Hytta tiny home online, tiny homes of this calibre typically sell for between €85,000-100,000, or around $94,600-111,300.

A quaint office nook sits adjacent to the main entrance for work, study, or play. Users can enjoy plenty of sunshine and a great outdoor view while working.
Despite its conservative footprint, Hytta offers a generous dining space adjacent to the kitchen and living area. The table can also double as additional meal preparation space.
Homeowners can move the dining table to sit underneath the wood-burning stove when not in use.
Hytta is deceivingly spacious, with a downstairs kitchen and bathroom and an upstairs bedroom accessible by corner stairs with a handrail.

At the customer’s request, Baluchon got creative with the loft bedroom. She wanted a sense of spaciousness, leading to an innovative framing solution that perfectly meets her needs.
The loft bedroom is spacious enough for a double bed, two oak wall shelves, and two drawers. This space also receives plenty of natural light and a cross-breeze, courtesy of the two walls of windows.
The ceiling space opposite the bedroom loft can be a feature area for a prized plant or additional storage room.
There is incredible attention to detail in Hytta’s bathroom. It enjoys the same color scheme as the kitchen and has a dry toilet with a stainless-steel bucket and shavings compartment. There is also a generous storage cupboard.
Opposite the toilet in the bathroom is a washing machine and an 80cm by 80cm shower. This bathroom has everything a homeowner needs for everyday living.
