Step Inside the 56-foot Narrowboat Transformed into a Dream Home by Mollie & Jason

British couple Mollie and Jason have been transforming boats and campervans since 2018 and show no signs of slowing down! Since launching their business, Marwood Makes, they have transformed 14 narrowboats, one widebeam, and five campervans. Their skill and artistry are so renowned that their projects have been featured on the TV show Better Homes & Gardens Australia and in publications like Circus Magazine and Waterways World.

Their latest project is Summer Bee, a beautifully handcrafted 56-foot narrowboat that comes with everything needed for full-time living or occasional holidaying. Inside, you can expect ash worktops in the kitchen, robust cork flooring throughout, and heating courtesy of a Webasto 5kW heater with radiators and a 4.5kW Arrow multi-fuel stove. Occupants can enjoy power, water, and cooking year-round with the included 520-watt solar panel, 12-volt shoreline fridge, LPG cooker and hob, two LPG tanks, and a 500L water tank. The solar panel is also connected to a Victron Mppt controller and a 3kW inverter.

For convenience, you’ll easily be able to power your devices, electronics, LED lighting, and appliances with 240-volt and 12-volt sockets. All cruising equipment is also included for effortless navigation through the UK canal networks.

If you’ve ever dreamed of holidaying on the water, here’s your opportunity to turn those dreams into reality. Mollie and Jason have launched a competition for UK residents in which they are raffling off an £80,000 narrowboat. For more information, visit marwoodmakes.com/competition. The bedroom at the rear of the boat has everything a couple needs for comfortable and relaxing living. There is a comfortable double bed with plenty of leg room, three pull-out drawers made of birch under the bed, two additional storage drawers, and a deep wardrobe. However, the standout feature in the Summer Bee bedroom is undoubtedly the hatch. You can while away the mornings watching the clouds as you sip your morning coffee in bed.
