What started out as an idea by Tiny SMART House creator Nathan Watson is now being brought to life thanks to a team of dedicated designers and fabricators in Albany, Oregon.
Tiny Traveler is a 17-and-a-half-foot little truck camper you can put on the bed of your truck, making the perfect short-term accommodation for camping trips. Rather than rough it in a tent, you can now pre-order a $42,500 Tiny Traveler and add a touch of luxury to your vacation.
The framework of the Tiny Traveler consists of an aluminum frame clad in cedar on the interior and exterior. You can either use this tiny home on the bed of your pick-up or use the hydraulic leveling jacks to set it in place.
While deceivingly small on the outside, you will be surprised at how many home-like features are packed into the interior. Once you walk through the porch area which features seating and storage, you then benefit from a spacious living area, additional storage, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Thanks to an RV-style setup, you don’t have to go without power, lighting, or water. This truck camper has an electric hookup not dissimilar from that of an RV, as well as LED lights and a pump with a freshwater tank.
The Tiny Traveler also features a day bed with built-in storage.
There is a queen-sized bed in the roof space
The kitchen features stunning plywood cabinetry to tie together the whole “cabin in the woods” feel, while also housing a fridge, sink, and propane range oven.
Adjacent lies the bathroom which has a toilet connected to a waste tank as well as a shower.
What’s more, there is water heating, an air conditioning unit, and a solar panel system. If you thought camping had to be about “roughing it,” think again.
