At first glance, the Avalon’s cheerful coastal palette is what sets it apart. But behind the beachy blue exterior is a surprisingly practical tiny home designed for comfortable, full-time living.

Built by Georgia-based Dragon Tiny Homes, the 24-foot home fits a ground-floor bedroom, two versatile lofts, a full kitchen, a bathroom, and built-in storage into just 204 square feet. Thoughtful extras, including upgraded insulation, generous windows, and year-round heating and cooling, make the $63,500 home feel less like a weekend escape and more like a place you could happily settle into.

The Avalon by Dragon Tiny Homes in Georgia is a breath of fresh air in terms of practical living and, of course, in terms of color! No boring beige, black, or white in sight. Just calming coastal hues that scream ‘welcome’ and ‘let’s go to the beach’.

The Avalon might look small, but looks are deceiving. This tiny home is 24 feet long, 13-feet-six-inches tall, and eight-feet-five-inches wide, while weighing 14,000 pounds. It delivers 204 square feet of living space, including two lofts.

You’re in for a real treat when you climb the stairs and enter The Avalon through the modern white aluminium door. The fresh interior is both modern and charming. Fresh white walls make the entrance and kitchen feel almost cottage-like, while the black fixtures and accessories throughout add that contemporary touch.

This tiny home is also light and bright, thanks to the generous, well-appointed windows and upgraded LED lighting with night light functionality.

Everything has its place in The Avalon, including a built-in fridge cabinet with three drawers adjacent to the main door. Tucked in next to the fridge is a built-in couch platform with a couch. The dark upholstery pairs beautifully with the stark white cabinetry.

The kitchen is modern, fresh, and easy-care – everything a busy tiny home dweller needs for quick and easy meal preparation. The neutral tone means you can add your own accessories for a burst of colour if needed. Otherwise, the black hardware does all the heavy lifting.

The kitchen also includes an extractor fan for adequate ventilation, a 7.1 cubic-foot fridge, space for a washer-dryer, and a floating kitchen shelf. Adjacent to the kitchen is a conveniently located 43-inch 4K TV to mark the start of the living area.

A door adjacent to the kitchen leads you through to the bathroom, while a rail above it enables you to hook onto the ladder for straightforward access to one of two lofts.

The Avalon’s layout is thoughtful, with the bathroom at the rear of the tiny home, the kitchen in the centre, and the living and sleeping spaces to the side. A well-placed ceiling fan and heat pump ensure adequate heating and cooling of the entire tiny home year-round.

The gorgeous contemporary bathroom is akin to one you’d find in a charming apartment. It has a standard-sized shower, a built-in vanity with a sink, a medicine cabinet with a mirror, and a toilet. The colours in this space mimic those of the exterior – coastal, peaceful, and serene.

The Avalon has not one, but two loft spaces to use as you please. While some tiny home dwellers prefer them for storage, others opt for additional bedrooms or quaint book nooks. The main loft provides a direct view of the second one, as well as the entire tiny home floor plan.
