You Can Now Buy a $39K Nomad Micro House on Amazon. But You Will Have to Assemble It Yourself

The tiny home revolution is upon us, with more and more people choosing to spend little, and live large without being weighed down by possessions and debt. Fortunately, it has now been made all the easier by the addition of NOMAD micro houses for sale on Amazon.

With worldwide shipping included in the price tag of $38,800, you can own your very own modular tiny home with off-grid technology and far less hassle than you might have thought. All you need to do now is find someone to help you assemble it.

The home is made with 3D printed steel framing, CNC manufacturing technology for a seamless fit, and it comes from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

For ease-of-construction and mobility, the Cube is designed to rest on five cast-in-place concrete piers, or “screw piles.” These systems minimize disturbance to the environment and can be easily removed if necessary.

This modular, compact dwelling has been described as “groundbreaking,” as it incorporates living, kitchen, bath, and bed, all in one 13.5 x 13.5-foot package. Once you click that ‘buy now’ button on Amazon, you can then wait for the NOMAD Cube to be flat-packed and delivered to your location around the world.

You could assemble the NOMAD on a trailer; however, it would take special permits to move on the road, as it is wider than the standard tiny house on wheels. Otherwise, get to work placing the tiny home on your own slice of paradise. You will need at least two people to help put it together, and a wealth of general handyman knowledge between you. Those with exterior and interior building knowledge and repair skills will be in hot demand.

With your purchase, you receive a kitchen and bathroom, both of which you will require certified tradespeople to install and vinyl-framed argon-filled windows with double panes and low-e glass. You may also need certified tradespeople to lay the foundation and the roof of your new 100-square-foot tiny home.

The Nomad micro house includes an alcove beside the kitchen that can accommodate storage and coats. Clothes and other items can be stored in the Cube’s 100- square-foot loft.

The kit also comes with a shower stall with a fiberglass base, drain, and controls, floors, ceilings, and walls, and outer insulated panel systems and everything is manufactured to Canada and the United States building code.

What you don’t get, however, is the foundation, interior wall finishing, roof, a door for the shower, large appliances, and stairs. The exclusion of these keeps both the package and shipping costs down.
