Tiny homes aren’t always the first choice for families, but Tru Form Tiny’sUrban Park Max makes a pretty compelling case. This custom build, now parked in Vermont, squeezes thoughtful design and plenty of style into its 38 x 10.5-foot footprint.
Inside, the layout feels surprisingly expansive: two cozy nooks for the kids, a total of three beds, and a bright, open living room that flows right into a full kitchen. The kitchen itself is anything but cramped, with generous counter space, sleek cabinetry, and smart upgrades like a WiFi-enabled induction cooktop and touch-to-open fridge. Even the bathroom doesn’t skimp—it’s large enough to house a 36-inch tiled shower, a modern vanity, laundry, and hidden storage.
Because it’s built for Vermont winters, the Urban Park Max is as practical as it is stylish. A reinforced roof handles heavy snow, while a Morao wood-burning stove and supplemental heaters keep the interiors warm and inviting all season long.
With prices starting at $190,000, this family-friendly tiny home shows that small-space living doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort—or beauty.
This Vermont-based tiny home is a custom build called Urban Park Max by the Oregon tiny home company Tru Form Tiny. It’s 38 x 10.5 feet and comfortably caters to a family of two adults and two children. Due to its home base in Vermont, the company built it with a reinforced roof to withstand heavy snow. Models such as this one start from $190,000.
This modern tiny home features authentic cypress Shou Sugi Ban siding, adding charm and contemporary elegance to the build. It pairs well with the abundance of windows that let in plenty of natural light.
The tiny home’s interior is fresh, modern, and minimalistic, with black, white, and natural wood being the predominant colors. The high ceilings maximize the available space, but there is plenty of storage space and a full walk-in closet.
The kitchen is in the center of the home and blends in with the living area. It showcases Tru Form-built cabinetry, upper open shelving, and a generous 30-inch sink with a drying rack and cutting board. The owners also added fun upgrades: a Samsung 30-inch induction cooktop with virtual flame technology and WiFi, as well as a touch-to-open fridge.
The open-plan kitchen space comfortably caters to a family with a central dining space featuring four stools. It receives plenty of light from the generous kitchen window as well as the hanging light in the center of the room.
The acacia butcher block countertops can’t help but impress. They complement the fresh white cabinetry and drawers. The natural wood also breaks up the white walls.
The living and kitchen areas join seamlessly, allowing for easy family time and entertaining. A Morao wood-burning stove with a black feature wall adds subtle definition between the two spaces.
The sun-drenched living area is set up for relaxation and entertaining. A comfortable L-shaped sofa with storage underneath takes pride of place at the end of the tiny home. With windows on all sides, it enjoys plenty of natural light throughout the day. A heat pump on the wall takes the chill out of the air in the evening.
There is no shortage of storage space in this tiny home. Tru Form Tiny installed cabinetry and open shelves from floor to ceiling for easy storage of everyday essentials.
The tall ceilings do more than add height and maximize the illusion of space. They also house the loft sleeping spaces for up to four people, accessible above the kitchen by a ladder.
There are two cozy spaces for the kids, each with their own storage cubbies. Despite each space being customized to suit each child, they still feature the same design elements as downstairs to add cohesion.
The master suite is adjacent to the children’s nooks, on the other side of a wall for privacy. It features a queen bed with additional storage.
The tiny home builders brilliantly designed the children’s bedroom nooks for privacy, comfort, and a sense of individuality. Each child has their own comfortable bed next to a window with a whole wall of storage for their personal possessions. There is also a light next to the bed for convenience.
The black feature wall contributes to the feeling of privacy while also making the bedroom feel more intimate and separate from the children’s area.
The bathroom has everything a family needs for convenience: a stylish vanity with storage and a sink by the toilet. The tiny home builders also installed a 36-inch by 36-inch shower with green Cloe tiles.
The feature wall behind the vanity adds warmth to the bathroom. It also houses lighting and a mirror, which cleverly offer the illusion of more space.
The generous 4.5-foot by 8.5-foot bathroom is home to a washer and dryer and two pull-out laundry cabinets.
