Tiny homes aren’t traditionally suitable for families, but Urban Park Max by the Eugene, Oregon-based tiny home company Tru Form Tiny proves that clever design makes all the difference.

The custom build, which is now located in Vermont, has been smartly planned to cater to up to two adults and two children in a 38 x 10.5-foot space. It boasts two cozy bedroom nooks for children, three beds in total, an expansive kitchen packed full of conveniences, and a large living room. Urban Park Max even delivers in terms of space and style in the bathroom, with the 4.5 x 8.5-foot room featuring a 36-inch x 36-inch tile shower and other modern amenities like a stylish vanity, washer and dryer, and storage.

Its location in Vermont means it must hold up to the elements, which is why it features a reinforced roof to withstand heavy snow loads, a Morao wood-burning stove, and space heaters.

The open-plan kitchen space comfortably caters to a family with a central dining space featuring four stools. It receives plenty of light from the generous kitchen window as well as the hanging light in the center of the room.

The acacia butcher block countertops can’t help but impress. They complement the fresh white cabinetry and drawers. The natural wood also breaks up the white walls.

The living and kitchen areas join seamlessly, allowing for easy family time and entertaining. A Morao wood-burning stove with a black feature wall adds subtle definition between the two spaces.

The sun-drenched living area is set up for relaxation and entertaining. A comfortable L-shaped sofa with storage underneath takes pride of place at the end of the tiny home. With windows on all sides, it enjoys plenty of natural light throughout the day. A heat pump on the wall takes the chill out of the air in the evening.

The tall ceilings do more than add height and maximize the illusion of space. They also house the loft sleeping spaces for up to four people, accessible above the kitchen by a ladder.

There are two cozy spaces for the kids, each with their own storage cubbies. Despite each space being customized to suit each child, they still feature the same design elements as downstairs to add cohesion.

The master suite is adjacent to the children’s nooks, on the other side of a wall for privacy. It features a queen bed with additional storage.

The tiny home builders brilliantly designed the children’s bedroom nooks for privacy, comfort, and a sense of individuality. Each child has their own comfortable bed next to a window with a whole wall of storage for their personal possessions. There is also a light next to the bed for convenience.

The bathroom has everything a family needs for convenience: a stylish vanity with storage and a sink by the toilet. The tiny home builders also installed a 36-inch by 36-inch shower with green Cloe tiles.

The generous 4.5-foot by 8.5-foot bathroom is home to a washer and dryer and two pull-out laundry cabinets.
