If you’ve ever thought about owning a tiny home but don’t want all the hassle of building one from scratch or trying to furnish it, an opportunity may have just presented itself! A tiny house called Ginger, built by the Virginia-based tiny home company Tiny Haven, is now up for sale. For just $60,000, you can own a roadworthy and fully operational tiny house RV that was built in 2018. All interior furnishings and most décor also come with it! The deck and outdoor furniture are excluded.
Ginger is a charming 20-foot-long, eight-foot-wide, 13-foot-tall tiny house on wheels that has been permanently built on a dual-axel tiny house trailer with stabilizer feet. It weighs 11,000 pounds and can be towed with a ¾ or 1-ton pickup truck. It also comes with a water hookup and 50-amp cord for straightforward connection to services.
While you’re likely eager to live in Ginger part-time or full-time yourself, it also presents money-making potential. This character-filled house on wheels has been rented out on a short-term basis for $197-297 per night.
Ginger was built by Tiny Haven in 2018 and well and truly fits the definition of a couple’s retreat. It has a full kitchen, a lofted bedroom with enough space for a queen-sized bed, and a living room featuring a twin daybed. The occupants have been able to remain comfortable year-round thanks to the mini-split with AC and heat, as well as an electric fireplace for heat and ambience.
This tiny home boasts a full bathroom with both a tub and shower, as well as a separate composting toilet and instant hot water.
There is no shortage of storage space thanks to the custom cabinetry, and there’s even a generous amount of storage space built into the stairs leading to the bedroom loft. Despite the plentiful cabinetry, you don’t feel closed in or cramped courtesy of the French doors, two opening skylights and many windows letting in plenty of natural light.
This charming space has gorgeous wood flooring and a vaulted wood ceiling. The fresh white painted wood walls lighten up the space well.
The full kitchen is located in the heart of the tiny home. The farmhouse apron sink is easily one of the main highlights, along with the vibrant customer cabinetry and gorgeous natural shelves. There is also a SMEG fridge, two-top propane stovetop, and a convection oven and microwave.
