If you’re curious about “tiny living” but not yet ready to buy or build your own tiny house, you can try out the lifestyle in the Coronado Historic District of Central Phoenix. Here Cassie and Gilbert Gardenas have had a gorgeous little house built in their backyard and they are now renting “The Nest” out on Airbnb.
The tiny house is constructed on a custom 8.5’ x 24’ trailer and is approximately 260 square feet, including the loft. The large wall of windows features a slider in the middle, opening up to the shared backyard.
The living area features a sofa bed that folds down like a futon. The 32″ smart TV is on a swing-out arm mount for more comfortable viewing.
The main living area, styled with air plants and cacti.
The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a full meal: 5.2 cu ft. fridge with freezer section, 2 burner cooktop, and convection microwave that can bake as well.
There’s even a pull-out peninsula for extra counter, dining, or workspace. Tucked in a mini closet behind the stairs are two folding stools.
Climb up the ladder to the loft to the spacious bedroom with plenty of head clearance while seated.
Overhead lights are on dimmers. Outlets are on either side for charging.
There is a step down at the hall door to the laundry area with washer/dryer combo unit and a fully plumbed bathroom with plenty of space to lay out your suitcase, hang your clothes, and store your toiletries.
The house features a tankless water heater so you’ll never have to worry about running out of hot water.
