A Budget-Friendly Tiny Home That Proves You Don’t Need a Loft

Living in a tiny home doesn’t have to mean clambering up a precariously placed ladder and commando-crawling into a loft. The Denman tiny home by Canadian tiny house builder Rover Tiny Homes is proof that tiny living can be comfortable, convenient, and straightforward.

The Denman is a 245-square-foot tiny home on a steel frame, described as a one-level structure with no lofts, ladders, or stairs. That means no ducking or contorting yourself just to go to bed.

Instead, it’s a practical 30-foot-by-8.5-foot tiny home featuring an open bedroom with a privacy wall, a beautiful and functional kitchen, and a fully equipped bathroom. The best part is, it’s entirely customisable. If you want more, you can add more. Rover Tiny Homes encourages purchasers to build the Denman the way they want it, for the price they want.

Being affordable and customizable doesn’t mean Rover Tiny Homes cuts corners. The Denman is a Z240-certified tiny home built with 2×4 walls, R14 and R28 insulation, engineered trusses, a Tyvek-wrapped exterior, and a triple-axle trailer by Trailerman Trailers. Prices start at CAD $99,900

The Denman by Rover Tiny Homes is a customisable tiny home spanning 30 feet by 8.5 feet, offering 245 square feet of living space. It’s designed as a simple, no-frills tiny home with a single-level layout for comfort and convenience.

Externally, it boasts vinyl siding, an asphalt roof, a 50-amp service, and an abundance of windows for natural light. It’s also built on a steel frame with a Trailerman Trailers triple-axle trailer.

A charming interior greets you as you enter through the main door. The pine walls are warm and rustic, pairing well with the sheet vinyl flooring. You can also upgrade to premium vinyl plank flooring.

The kitchen is modern, simple, and functional for everyday living. The flat-panel MDF cabinetry looks sleek paired against the farmhouse-style sink and wood countertops.

There is also plenty of open storage and an abundance of natural light streaming in from the window above the sink.

Rover Tiny Homes has designed this kitchen to be entirely functional and convenient, with a 120-volt 30-gallon hot water tank, an under-counter fridge, and a two-burner electric cooktop.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a cosy and charming living area with plenty of room for the occupants and their guests. It’s media-ready and enjoys an abundance of light from the large windows and LED lights.

From a distance, you can’t even tell that a bedroom is tucked away behind the living area.

A privacy wall separates the bedroom from the living area. You can also choose to add a full door.

The bedroom has enough space for a queen-size bed and bedside tables.

Despite the lack of lofts, storage isn’t lacking in this tiny home. There’s an expansive pantry adjacent to the main entrance for everyday essentials.

As you enter the kitchen, you’ll move seamlessly through to the full three-piece bathroom. It has a toilet, vanity with storage, and a shower.

To ensure the occupants had space for essentials, Rover Tiny Homes installed shelving in the bathroom next to the shower.
