When a Napa family learned their primary residence would undergo major repairs, they knew traditional short-term options wouldn’t cut it. Hotels felt impersonal, and rental homes lacked flexibility. So instead, they turned to a stylish and unconventional solution: a $159,000 Terra Urban travel trailer by Tru Form Tiny.
Part of the company’s high-end Terra Series, the 26-foot handcrafted tiny home was delivered straight to their property by Tru Form Tiny’s founder and COO, Jen Carroll. Designed for full-time living, the Terra Urban offered everything the family needed—spacious sleeping for four, a galley kitchen, a standing loft, and even a cozy floor-to-ceiling fireplace.
With its moody feature walls, designer lighting, and clever storage throughout, the $159K tiny home felt more like a boutique rental than a backup plan. But the real draw was the speed—thanks to Tru Form Tiny’s in-house build process, the family didn’t have to wait months to move in.
The Terra Urban tiny home on wheels by Oregon-based company Tru Form Tiny has everything you need for full-time living, including sleeping spaces for up to four people, a galley kitchen, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace.
This modern and beautifully designed travel trailer/tiny home, featuring cedar accents and a bold architectural roofline, measures 26 feet in length and 8.5 feet in width. It offers 316 square feet of functional living space. The oversized modern steel door is one of many unique features that make this tiny home stand out.
Upon entering through the large main door into the living and kitchen space, you’re met with an electric fireplace within a lime-wash wall. There’s space above it for a TV. A fresh and inviting kitchen is to the right as you walk in, and the living area is to the left.
The living area is more flexible and functional than you could have thought possible. There’s an elevator bed above the sofa that you can bring down to create a second sleeping area at the push of a button. Lowering it allows more natural light to enter through the large window.
While comfortably heated by the electric fire, a mini-split unit is also available to ensure your year-round comfort.
The kitchen is a perfect blend of function and style, integrating seamlessly into the living space. It features a custom round table at the end of the counter, ideal for dining, studying, or meal preparation. The kitchen is also home to a pantry and drawer system, as well as a pull-out waste bin that conceals the water heater.
Tru Form Tiny has thought of everything for practicality and elegance. The custom cabinets feature full-extension and soft-close mechanisms for that added touch of class. There is also custom lighting and hardware here and throughout the home. Moreover, you can’t help but be impressed by the high-end appliances.
It’s the small details that make all the difference, like the marbled countertops and tile backsplash. Below the backsplash is a multi-functional sink with a drying rack, cutting board, and pull-down faucet. You’ll even be able to keep the marbled countertops free of dirty dishes courtesy of the compact and practical drawer dishwasher.
The occupants of this tiny home have everything they need to cook up a storm, including a two-burner induction cooktop with an exterior-vented hood, a convection oven, a fryer, and a microwave. There is also a large fridge and freezer, suitable for a family.
Opposite, there is also plenty of space for kitchen goods in the large cabinets, built-in staircase storage, and overhead storage. There’s even a dedicated space for a washer-dryer combo.
The open and airy vaulted ceilings maximize light and available space in this tiny home. Once night falls, you can rely on the bespoke designer lighting to illuminate the tiny home.
The loft area has been cleverly designed for comfort and practicality. Alongside the storage space in the stairs, there are deep shelves accessible from the stairs. Entering the bedroom is made easy thanks to the standing space. A window adjacent ensures this small space is well-lit during the day.
The main sleeping loft is easily one of the highlights of the Terra Urban. It boasts a queen-size bed in front of a gorgeous, moody feature wall, ample headroom, and unique light fixtures for added style. Storage is also abundant in the foot of the bed, behind the bed, and in drawers next to it. Tru Form Tiny built the staircase and railings leading to the bedroom in-house.
The bathroom is a comfortable, modern, and convenient addition to this tiny home. There are high-quality finishes everywhere you look, including the marble backsplash and champagne-colored fixtures.
There is also a custom vanity with a vessel sink and soft-close doors. Tru Form Tiny thought of everything and even integrated smart storage solutions into the design.
