Think Tiny Homes Mean Sleeping in a Loft? This One Has a Real Downstairs Bedroom Too

When the owners of this custom-built Cascade Max tiny home decided to downsize, they didn’t want to sacrifice the comforts that made life feel full — things like room to stretch out, space for guests, and a layout that encouraged both connection and calm. The result is a 36-foot-long park model home that’s as clever as it is beautiful, with a proper downstairs bedroom, a cozy loft above, and just under 400 square feet of meticulously designed living space.

Built by Oregon-based Tru Form Tiny, the Cascade Max starts at $198,900 and showcases how thoughtful design can make small-space living feel luxurious rather than limited. Every detail has been crafted for comfort and flow, from the soft glow of the Manhattan Maple hardwood floors to the seamless transitions between each living zone.

The exterior’s cedar accents, black-rimmed windows, and standing-seam metal roof give the home a warm yet modern edge — a perfect blend of rustic character and clean contemporary lines. Step through the French doors, and the interior opens up into a bright, airy space grounded in natural materials and rich tones. White walls amplify the light that pours in from multiple windows, while the forest-green cabinetry anchors the kitchen, bringing color and texture to the open plan.

The Cascade Max feels less like a tiny home on wheels and more like a thoughtfully designed apartment — one that just happens to be compact, efficient, and built for life on your own terms. Every inch has a purpose, but nothing feels forced. Instead, there’s an ease to the way the home unfolds — proof that luxury and simplicity can share the same footprint.

This Cascade Max park model tiny home, crafted by Pacific Northwest builder Tru Form Tiny, stretches 36 feet in length and offers just under 400 square feet of beautifully designed living space. Its exterior is instantly eye-catching, featuring cedar accent siding, a standing-seam metal roof, and sleek black-trimmed windows that give the home a modern yet inviting look.

Full-light French doors, complete with an exterior awning, make living in this tiny home an authentically pleasant experience. Add your own patio area, and it becomes a slice of paradise with outstanding indoor-outdoor flow.

Indoors, the tiny home is light and airy with fresh white walls and an abundance of windows for natural light.

This tiny home allows for comfortable everyday living with an open kitchen and living space. Furniture has been cleverly positioned to create a clear distinction between the areas. The gorgeous green kitchen cabinetry breaks up the white walls while defining the kitchen. Tru Form Tiny installed Manhattan Maple engineered hardwood floors throughout the tiny home to complete the look.

Dark wood features paired with green custom cabinetry and white walls is a match made in heaven. The dining table also doubles as a workspace for meal preparation.

The gorgeous black pendant lights are a nice touch in the kitchen, both adding style and much-needed light in the evenings.

The maple butcher block countertops pair well with the white subway tile backsplash in the kitchen. Completing the look are the brushed-brass pull-down faucet and stainless-steel sink. Tru Form Tiny thought of everything for both style and function. The kitchen is also home to a full-size Whirlpool 11.6 cubic-foot fridge for convenience.

Storage is certainly not lacking in this tiny home’s kitchen, with both closed cabinetry and open shelves. Two opening windows also drench the area in sunlight.

While there is no dedicated laundry, Tru Form Tiny cleverly incorporated a Splendide stackable washer and dryer into the kitchen, underneath the breakfast bar. There is also a GE 18-inch dishwasher in the kitchen for convenience.

Beyond the kitchen, there’s a cosy living area that opens out through French doors, as well as a convenient storage loft or sleeping space above the primary bedroom.

The living area is a light, bright, and spacious area to relax in, in the heart of the home. Install your TV above the Furrion 30-inch electric fireplace and enjoy the ambience on a cold winter’s day. A Daikin 2-zone 12,000 BTU mini-split heat pump also takes the chill out of the air.

The rattan feature light gives the living area its own unique personality, distinct from the kitchen.

The living area leads to the bathroom and bedroom, behind a gorgeous, rich-wood farm-style door.

A sliding ladder above the bathroom door provides easy access to a secondary sleeping space or storage loft.

The primary bedroom certainly isn’t lacking space or storage, with room for a king-sized mattress and a custom-built headboard. The headboard boasts open shelving and storage and blends into the wall.

The bathroom is an elegant space with champagne bronze Delta Trinsic fixtures and luxe finishes. It also has a matching hickory wood medicine cabinet and an all-in-one vanity with hidden storage, both built by hand in-house by the Tru Form Tiny team.

It also boasts gorgeous green Cloe ceramic tiles, a glass shower enclosure, and a freestanding bathtub. Every detail is well-illuminated, courtesy of the modern globe vanity lights and Ballard exterior sconces.
