If roughing it in a tent isn’t your idea of a relaxing getaway, the newly restored Cowpoke Camper by Perch & Nest might just be your dream escape on wheels. Originally a 1987 Avion by Fleetwood, this 30-foot aluminum travel trailer has been thoroughly redesigned, refurbished, and recertified by the North Carolina–based team known for their bespoke tiny homes and custom carpentry. The result? A vintage camper that pairs the classic “Airstream” silhouette with modern comforts and a playful nod to the American West.
Step inside, and you’ll find cozy sleeping arrangements for up to four, a kitchen fitted with a stainless refrigerator and original propane range, and thoughtful design details like “Dried Thyme” painted cabinetry, chenille seating, and retro wallpaper. With a fresh 2025 RV title, new mechanical systems, and curated cowpoke décor included, this lightweight “tiny home on wheels” is road-ready and waiting for its next adventure.
The 30-foot-long Cowpoke Camper has undergone a complete refurbishment and recertification by Perch & Nest. This Airstream-style RV trailer features a new 2025 travel trailer title, a newly sealed roof system, a new battery, electric hitch jack, and exterior lighting, as well as a refurbished propane furnace and rooftop AC unit.
For convenience on your travels, you benefit from an on-board freshwater holding tank and pump, and black water/grey water tanks, as well as a direct ‘city’ water inlet. The Cowpoke Camper also comfortably accommodates up to four people, featuring two twin beds, a single sofa, and a spacious living area.
The entire interior of Cowpoke Camper has been thoughtfully redesigned in a ‘cowpoke’ style, complete with furnishings, linens, and décor.
The spacious living area is adjacent to the kitchen, featuring a new Chenille sofa and a pouf ottoman.
There is also a folding dining table that expands to seat up to six. You and your loved ones can even dance the night away to music on the original built-in cassette player/radio.
The ‘dried thyme’ painted cabinetry and new hardware are both refreshing and a nod to this travel trailer’s past. The green complements the brown wood accent features beautifully.
It’s the small details that really make a difference in this travel trailer, such as the live-edge cutting board/stove topper in the kitchen. It’s designed for both style and function.
With the kitchen located in the middle of the travel trailer, there’s an abundance of storage and bench space. This is ideal when you’re accommodating up to four guests.
The large farmhouse-style sink is a feature in itself. You can be washing the dishes while admiring the incredible view out the window. Hot water comes courtesy of the refurbished tankless water heater.
Rather than installing new appliances that don’t tie in with the cowpoke theme, the team at Perch & Nest meticulously refurbished the original propane range and microwave.
Adjacent to the sleeping area is a new stainless steel refrigerator/freezer that has enough storage space for weekly groceries.
American West wallpaper has been installed throughout the Cowpoke Camper. It works well with the Dried Thyme green cabinetry throughout.
Perch & Nest has set up the bedroom for convenient vacationing and organisation, with wardrobe/linen cabinets, as well as a built-in hamper.
Both single beds feature new mattresses with luxury tufted covers. There is also a built-in swivel desk/table, which is ideal for laptops and small TVs.
For organisation, you’ll appreciate the dual wardrobes and built-in top/bottom dresser storage.
The bathroom will undoubtedly exceed your expectations. It boasts an abundance of storage surrounding a flushing toilet.
The retro glamour medicine or vanity cabinet is the centerpiece of the bathroom. It features a mirror that creates the illusion of space and enhances the ambiance with its light. There is also a large tub/shower.
