This bathroom is an example of letting your shower do all the talking. Rather than using a plain shower wall, this striking bathroom has been cleverly designed by Swatt | Miers Architects, who used green Cartglass glass tiles to frame the bath and form a feature shower wall.

The natural seafoam-like green color contrasts beautifully against the white walls, bath interior, and toilet. It also pairs well with the earthy brown floor tiles.

White is, of course, among the most common bathroom colors. Still, it’s not the only color at your disposal. This is one of Juvet Landscape Hotel’s colorful bathrooms. It has been beautifully presented in a vibrant shade of yellow with stark white penny tile floors, a white basin, and a white toilet providing much-needed relief.

While simple in its design with a wet floor shower and simple amenities, the yellow paint is undoubtedly what makes it a favorite among bathroom enthusiasts.

This bathroom renovation by French architect firm Studio D’Archi is proof that you can achieve great things with limited space and a small budget. With a basic vanity and toilet, the architectural firm was able to inject much-needed pizazz with bold orange wall tiles against black floor tiles.

Suddenly, the basic white vanity, toilet, and shower frame become necessary elements to provide relief to the eye.

Having a small bathroom can sometimes mean you must say goodbye to your hopes of having a bath. Yet, this bathroom with a small footprint makes it work. Cleverly designed by Josephine Ramm and Simon Ramm, this small bathroom has a square Japanese-style bath elevated on a second level above the toilet.

Access to the bath is easy via a small step, and part of the dividing wall has been used for an integrated toilet cistern. The neutral tones of the tub and walls make the beautiful wood flooring ’pop’ in this small space.

Architects Rosa and Robert Garneau of Studio Garneau went against the grain by designing a ’moody’ bathroom as opposed to a more traditional light and bright one. The dark blue tiles on the walls and ceiling add unparalleled sophistication. That sophistication is enhanced with the tiled nook, waterfall bath spout, and rainfall shower head.

With so much detail in the colors, textures, and fixtures, you barely notice the basic white bath, vanity, and toilet.
